(If you haven't seen it, I'd recommend watching the GameMaker's Toolkit for one of the game's (relatively) more known quests: - Anatomy of a Side Quest: Beyond the BeefĪnd let's not forget the great vault stories, and the clever multiple ways of encountering the vaults at different parts of the story/faction questing the game allows to be flexible with.I barely remember any of Fallout 4's vaults outside of the base one you start from :(īig Iron is still by far my favorite New Vegas base song, lol, but it it's not allowed, my next choice is NV's rendition of Why Don't You Do Right is up there for sure. Super memorable and fun companions (even if Boone was a bit ridiculous at launch), a great 'follow the mystery' story that continues the 'theme park' nature of Fallout 3 while simultaneously including backstory and plot to help flesh out the various locations outside of the main story, and giving the player the role-playing option to go any combination of good/evil and which faction/political ideology to root for make for great hooks to keep trekking through the mojave. Great, great game - played through 3 playthroughs (NCR, Wildcard, and House) on the 360, then all the DLC, then re-bought on PC and played through multiple times.

Does it still crash? Yeah, but not nearly as much as it could. I've used it and its honestly the most stable I've ever gotten NV to be.

It's a great guide that goes over modding New Vegas step-by-step using the Mod Organizer that the guide uses. There's so many great mods for New Vegas that I recommend anyone that's looking into modding the game look into the Viva New Vegas Mod Guide. From Quest mods like The New Vegas Bounties Series, The Rockwell series, Tales From the Burning Sands to QoL improvements like Fallout 4 looting, sprinting mod, a weapon wheel etc. Of course I wouldn't have put in so many hours if it was just the vanilla game, its thanks to the many great mods the community has come out with that has made my time in the game a delight to play every playthrough. I've only put more hours into Team Fortress 2 and WoW back during the Vanilla days, and I can easily see New Vegas surpassing those games within the next 2 years. Yeah, over 800 hours in a single-player game, how could it not be my GOAT.
